2023 ACUNS - United Nations Workshop

          

The Department of Management, Strategy, Policy and Compliance is pleased to announce the 2023 ACUNS-United Nations Workshop.

Eligible staff may submit their applications between 27th February and 10th April.

What is the ACUNS Summer Workshop?

The Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) and the United Nations Secretariat jointly sponsor this Workshop each year to enhance professional development in international organization studies and encourage new directions in international organization research. Participants are expected to present a research paper of publishable quality in the workshop. 

The workshop’s title this year is: Blueprints for Local and Global Responses to Worldwide Challenges: Understanding the Role of the United Nations in Capacity Building

It will be hosted at O.P. Jindal Global University in Delhi NCR, India and will take place from 23-28 July 2023.

The workshop will bring together 10 United Nations staff members and 10 early career academic researchers or practitioners from other international organizations or governments for knowledge exchange, networking, and mentoring.

Who is eligible?

UN staff interested in applying must be employed at the P-2 to P-4 levels (including at National Officer or Field Service equivalents*) with Fixed-term, Continuing or Permanent appointments and have at least two years of service in the Secretariat.

When are applications due? 

Applications are due on 10th April 2023.

Who determines whether eligible candidates are selected to join the workshop?

The selection process is handled entirely by ACUNS (Academic Council on the United Nations).
