Arabic Level 7

This course continues with the Al-Kitaab II book and covers Lessons 3and 4. It provides a deeper understanding of the verb patterns previously introduced, namely patterns I, II, and IV. Case markings for the noun and new grammatical expressions are also covered. The cultural content of the course covers holiday greetings among other.
The prerequisite for this course is level 6 or an equivalent result in a recent placement test.

Arabic Level 6

This course begins with the Al-Kitaab II book and covers Lessons 1and 2. It introduces the doer of the action and its patterns. The course adds to the list of irregular verbs the ones with a doubled consonant. The dual form will also be covered in its Modern Standard and informal form. The cultural section of this course deals with arranged marriages in the Arab world and issues of immigration. This course is regarded as the beginning of the intermediate levels.  

Arabic Level 5

This course covers the basics of the Arabic language vocabulary, grammar, and structures. It covers the final lessons of Al-Kitaab I book, lessons 11-13, and introduces the complex sentence using the most common verb patterns. Nuances of the present tense are highlighted along with the introduction of the future tense. This course is regarded as a stepping stone for the intermediate levels courses that follow.

Arabic Level 4

This course covers the basics of the Arabic language vocabulary, grammar, and structures. It continues with Al-Kitaab I book, and covers lessons 8-10. It focuses on building basic vocabulary and grammatical structures. This course covers present and past tenses and their negation. It also introduces the root system and the verb patterns.
Prerequisite: Level 3 or an equivalent result in a recent placement test.

Arabic Level 3

The course covers the basics of the Arabic language vocabulary, grammar, and structures. It continues with Al-Kitaab I, and covers lessons 5-7. It introduces key grammatical and structural concepts and focuses on simple/memorized expressions to empower learners to produce basic sentences describing their feelings and immediate environment.

Prerequisite: level 2 or an equivalent result in a recent placement test.

Arabic Level 2

The course covers the basics of the Arabic language vocabulary, grammar, and structures. It starts with Al-Kitaab I textbook, and covers lessons 1-4. It focuses on simple/memorized expressions to empower learners to produce basic sentences describing their feelings and immediate environment.

Prerequisite: Level 1or an equivalent result in a recent placement test.

Arabic Level 1

This course is for novice learners who have no prior experience with the language. It introduces the Arabic Alphabet using Alif Baa textbook, and covers units 1-10. This course focuses on writing, pronunciation and reading basics. It exposes the learner to the differences in register between formal and spoken Arabic. By the end of this course students should be able to read and write basic structures in Arabic.
