Only two days left to complete the Mid-level and Senior Leadership Diversity Survey

For the first time ever, a career diversity survey is being conducted throughout the UN Secretariat to determine the measurable attributes shared by senior leaders and mid-level managers across the Organization.

Who is eligible?

The Departments of Management and Field Support invite professionals at the P-4, P-5, D-1, D-2, ASG and USG/SRSG levels in all duty stations to participate in this exciting initiative targeted at senior leaders and mid-level managers.

Why is the survey needed?

The survey is being conducted to identify the attributes that mid-level managers and senior leaders across the UN Secretariat think are important. This is essential in order for the Organization to better understand what works, and what doesn’t when it comes to promoting, attracting and targeting diversity throughout this critical group.

What are the next steps?

All those who meet the criteria specified above are strongly encouraged to set aside some time to complete the survey, which will take up to 20 minutes. It is available in both English and French. Please click here to access the survey. Wide participation is strongly encouraged so that the key characteristics which have contributed to successful careers at the UN can be more strategically identified.

Standard fields such as name, duty station or level, can be populated automatically, if you opt to key in your index number. However, if you prefer to complete the survey anonymously, certain basic questions will also be included for those who do not opt to provide an index number.

The survey is open from 12 September to 11 October 2013.
