A new and more dynamic version of inspira, the Secretariat’s talent management platform, is now live at http://inspira.un.org. This upgrade brings improvements to the user experience, particularly as relating to recruitment and application functionalities.
What should inspira users expect to find?
- New look and feel: A new and contemporary design improves the way information is presented, making it easier to navigate and to work faster.
- Improved alignment of navigation with work flow behaviour: Menus are laid out in a way that reflects how you work in inspira, and gives you the ability to adjust the navigation according to your needs and preferences.
- Better search functionality and improved usability: A new search tool allows you to find information faster.
Note that fundamental features and processes remain unchanged!
What are some of the new functions for hiring managers and applicants?
- An improved interface allows for easy viewing of applications, roster memberships; the status of your performance document and learning activities;
- A “Filter by” section allows users to categorize different Job Opening (JO) search criteria;
- An improved search function allows easy sorting of JOs, including Temporary Job Openings, as well as adding interesting JOs to your “My Favorite Jobs” folder;
- Hiring managers can more easily categorize job openings, generate reports, and search rosters.
What else should I be aware of?
- The first time you log in, it may be slow as the system is caching all new requests and the number of users accessing the system is at a record high. We expect this to be resolved within a few days and appreciate your patience.
- The deadline for all job openings has been automatically extended by six (6) business days to compensate for the period of the service outage.
- Umoja transactional users who were not able to complete their Computer Based Trainings (CBT) during the outage are reminded that they are required to self-enrol in the specific CBT course in inspira/LMS and complete the assessment to obtain final certification.
