March is the International Francophonie Month. To celebrate the French language and multilingualism, the French section of the UNHQ Language and Communications Programme would like to take this opportunity to invite you to participate in a creative writing contest about some of the main areas of focus of the UN and of la Francophonie. This year’s themes are sustainable development and the power of words to celebrate the success of the COP 21, to prepare for COP 22 and the Summit of la Francophonie in 2016, and in the context of the screening by the International Organisation of la Francophonie of the film Demain at UNHQ in New York.
The contest is open to all UN system staff members, including the global Secretariat, UN missions, agencies, funds and programmes, wherever they work in the world.
The creative writing pieces have to be written in French.
Find out which category is better suited to your writing abilities, learn about the prizes, and read the terms of our international creative writing contest at the end of the article. Send your creation by email to schaller@un.org before 30 April 2016!
