The latest group of peacekeeping operations and special political missions to benefit from the inspira recruitment module is as follows: BINUCA, BNUB, MINURSO, UNAMA, UNOAU and UNOCA. The tool will deploy to the final batch of missions this September.
Coinciding with today’s launch, the following missions have also posted various job openings as follows: BNUB; UNAMA and UNOAU. All eligible candidates are encouraged to apply for these posts.
For hiring managers
From now on, hiring managers in these missions are required to post job openings (J.O.s) in inspira instead of using Galaxy for this purpose.
In inspira, hiring managers are now responsible for creating J.O.s, which includes describing the requirements of the position that is to be advertised on the new tool, such as skills, experience and language capacities.
The new platform provides HR practitioners with a more efficient recruitment tool. For example, instead of manually reviewing the list of all rostered candidates, who may or may not be interested or available in a specific J.O., hiring managers can now select from a list of candidates who have expressed their interest, are available, and meet the eligibility and suitability criteria for the position.
For applicants
If you have not already done so, to ensure that you are ready to apply for relevant J.O.s, all UN Secretariat staff members and all other personnel are strongly encouraged to login to inspira, create a profile and draft application.
In order to login for the first time, please follow the process outlined in the step-by-step guide shown below.
A few tips
- You are strongly advised to change your password when you first log-in.
- If you encounter technical problems, click on inspira’s ’contact us’ tab once you have logged in. Questions are usually answered within 24 hours. Alternatively, where available, you may also contact your mission’s IT support team.
- Perhaps you already changed your password from the default YYYYNNNN format. Try selecting “Forgot your password?” to request a new password.
