UNHQ Medical Services Division (MSD) is a Division of the Office of Human Resources Management and provides occupational health services and oversight of all health-related programmes. The Medical Service's main function is to reduce health-related risks for staff and for the organization as a whole. MSD acts as a liaison for local health issues with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and other local health authorities and medical facilities.
Clinical and Preventative Services
- Managing the impact of your work on any medical conditions you may have
- Managing medical conditions while at work and advising about reasonable accommodations
- Working with you and your manager to support a return to work after you have been sick
- Providing mental health and psycho-social support
- Supporting you if you suffer a service-incurred illness or injury
- Medical clearances
- Sudden illness while at work
- Preparing for official travel including to mission areas, for humanitarian response or any travel away from established duty stations.
- Stay healthy efforts: worksite flu vaccinations, help with smoking cessation, ergonomic workstation evaluations, and other health promotion programs

- 5th Floor, Secretariat
- Open from 9 am to 5 pm work days
- Walk-in service
- PCR testing for travel should be booked by calling (1) 212-963-7090 or by email to unhqclinic@un.org
- Serving Secretariat staff members and staff of the UN Agencies, Funds and Programmes in New York, or anyone needing emergency medical attention while in the UNHQ complex
