SALARIES: FIELD SERVICE CATEGORY

The Field Service category has been developed for staff members deployed in peacekeeping operations and special political missions. Staff members in this category are internationally recruited similar to the Professional and higher categories, and their salary structure, therefore, is similar to that of the salary structure for the Professional and higher categories, with one global scale and post adjustment. Field Service staff members often serve under difficult and dangerous circumstances and are subject to reassignment on short notice, when required. This allows for the compensation package to take into account the movement among duty stations.
