Webex-based Client Service Skills Training and Project Management Training now available

Would you like to learn more about Client Service or Project Management? If this question strikes a chord, the new distance learning training on Client Service and Project Management could be for you. Since the training takes place using the online application WebEx, you can participate remotely, no matter where in the world you are.

The training, organized jointly by the Departments of Management, Peacekeeping Operations and Public Information, provides an overview of the principles of Project Management and Client Service, practical tips and interactive exercises.

By using an interactive and blended learning approach, the same learning objectives can be attained by more staff members in all locations. The traditional methodology of face-to-face learning is imbedded in the Webex-workshops through the use of interactive powerpoints, whiteboard, chat room, pre-programme survey, etc. Reference materials, shared with all participants in advance of the training, are valuable resources during the individual exercises and group discussions.

Recent training sessions included participants from all corners of the world, including UNAMID, UNAMA, UNMIL, UNIFIL, UNSMIL, UNMIK, UNFICYP, UNSOA, UNOAU, ONUCI, MONUSCO, MINUSTAH and the UN Global Service Centre. Staff members from UN Information Centres in Brussels, Beirut, Pretoria, Rio, Lagos, Khartoum, Brazzaville, Sanaa, New Delhi, Tunis and Sydney also joined the Client Service training.

Participants expressed strong interest and provided positive feedback with what they learned from the sessions. Bahaa Elkoussy, Director of the United Nations Information Centre for Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Kuwait, said, “I was impressed by the contents, narratives and exercises of this high-impact client service training course. I certainly recommend this course to our colleagues in the UN system, at all levels and from all Agencies, Programmes and entities.”
